SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County is reporting 11 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since yesterday: 2 from Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz, 3 in El Dorado Hills, 1 in Diamond Springs/El Dorado, 1 in North County, 0 in Greater Placerville, 4 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, 1 in South County, 0 in Lake Tahoe region. Awaiting address confirmation from today s count: -1. Total now awaiting address confirmation: 95.
Of those new cases, 2 are under the age of 18, 6 are age 18-49, 2 are aged 50-64, and 1 aged 65 or older. Awaiting age confirmation from today s count: 0. Total birthdate unknown to date: 12.
There have been another 29 assumed recoveries with 388 assumed active cases.

COVID-19 Regional Report Wednesday
Tuolumne County Tuolumne County Public Health reports one new community case today, a man age 30 to 39. No COVID-positive residents are hospitalized. A total of 15 cases are considered active.
Tuolumne County has a total of 4,152 cases split between 2,735 community cases and 1,417 Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) inmate cases, the California Department of Corrections reports one case remains active. Total community cases released from isolation increased to 2,657 and the total number of tests administered is 95,729. The county reports 18,562 fully vaccinated residents and 4,025 individuals partially vaccinated. As reported here California is allowing children age 12 and older to get the vaccine. Calaveras, Mariposa and Tuolumne remain in the Orange Tier of the State’s Blueprint for a safer economy. Amador has now moved to the Yellow Tier. The State released this week’s Blueprint update today with data for the week ending May 8th. Tuolumne County’s Case Rate increased to 3.3, and the Test Positivity Rate is at 1.7 percent. Calaveras is at 4.5 Case Rate with a Test Positivity Rate of 3.2 percent, Mariposa is at a 2.4 Case Rate and a Test Positivity Rate of 1.1 percent while Amador is at a 2.6 Case Rate and .5 percent Test Positivity Rate. Metrics exclude prisons and are calculated per 100,000 population with Tuolumne’s population estimated at 52,351, Calaveras’s population 44,289, Mariposa 17,795 and Amador 38,531.
