One driver critical after Tuesday crash Oakridger A motor vehicle crash on Laboratory Road near Home Depot in Oak Ridge reportedly resulted in the injury of a driver.  The crash, involving a truck and a car, was called in with injuries around 4:22 p.m. Tuesday. The injured driver was transported to University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville via Lifestar air ambulance, and as of 8 p.m. Tuesday, was in critical condition, Lauren Gray, city communications specialist told The Oak Ridger. The driver was not identified by the city. The roadway near Home Depot closed, but reopened around 8 p.m. Oak Ridge police, Oak Ridge fire, Oak Ridge Public Works and two ambulances from Anderson County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) assisted on scene. The investigation is ongoing.
