The Mandan Art Association held its 38th Annual Art Show this week at the Mandan Community Center. This yearâs honorees were Caroline Conrath, a charter member of the association, and her brother, the late Ted Conrath. The show also displayed more than 400 pieces of artwork, representing 92 adult exhibitors and 73 high school students. Painting demonstrators were Stephanie Delmore, Susan Lundberg and Amy Stuart McNalley. According to Colette Meidinger, MAA president, special thanks go to Mandanâs Boy Scout Troop 54 for delivering, setting up, tearing down and returning to storage, the display boards used for exhibiting the art pieces.
What makes this season uncertain is the fact that freshmen and sophomores on these teams have never ran a track meet at the high school level due to the last season being shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Girls Coach Amy Stuart tells KNIA Sports that the one certainty that will be a bright spot is J’lyn Knutson.
“Our upperclassman that will sure make a big impact is J’lyn Knutson. She qualified for state for freshman and sophomore years, would have her junior year. She finished 6th in the 1500 and medaled her sophomore year. She is a leader that we can look to get those types of goals.”
