Galvin Green expands its tour player roster By David Cunninghame 13 March, 2021 Galvin Green has bolstered its tour player line-up for the 2021 season, with 17 men and women drawn from seven different countries playing across the main PGA and European Tours, as well as promising golfers on the feeder Tours. Englishmen Laurie Canter and Chris Paisley are joined once again on the European Tour by Sweden’s Alexander Björk, plus new signing Kurt Kitayama from America. Kitayama has already won twice on the European Tour, capturing the Mauritius Open and Oman Open in 2019. After a strong finish to last season, Canter is looking to add a Tour title to his name alongside Paisley (2018 BMW SA Open) and Björk (2018 Volvo China Open).

THE Year in Review continues with September and October when local lockdown restrictions came into force in Conwy. While coronavirus continued to dominate the news there were some bizarre stories that made their way to the top of the pile. Thursday, September 3, ‘New company bids for Hall’: Pub giant JD Wetherspoon voiced its disappointment after missing out on plans to develop Conwy’s Civic Hall into one of its own establishments. Conwy council cabinet members instead decided the preferred bidder was Nautical Point Ltd, related to Pure Resident and Commercial Ltd and Pure Retirement Living, to redevelop the site. “Our aim is to support regeneration and add to the quality tourism offer in Conwy with a sustainable development,” said Cllr Goronwy Edwards, cabinet member for economic development. “We have a duty to make sure we make the right decision.” The Civic Hall continues to remain vacant.
