Apple is being sued by a man due to repeated accusations that he was behind numerous thefts at Apple Stores in the US, attempted robberies that were conducted by others who were impersonating him.
The lawsuit, filed on May 28 in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts, is suing Apple and Security Industry Specialists, a contractor working for Apple on store security.
The lawsuit claims the plaintiff Ousmane Bah was falsely accused of performing some Apple Store thefts, which led to his arrest in New York in November 2018, AppleInsider reported.
The lawsuit appears to be a continuation of another legal action by Bah against Apple and SIS, launched in April 2019.

Seven companies supplying device components, coatings and assembly services to Apple have been linked to alleged forced labor involving Uighurs and other oppressed minorities in China, The Information reported.
Working with two human rights groups, the publication identified seven Apple suppliers that allegedly supported forced labor programs targeting the Muslim population, particularly Uighurs living in Xinjiang in China.
“At least five of those companies received thousands of Uighurs and other minority workers at specific factory sites or subsidiaries that did work for Apple,” the investigation found.
In a statement, Apple said Apple it has “found no evidence of forced labor anywhere we operate.

After almost a year, Apple has reopened all of its 270 retail stores in the US. It was on March 13, 2020 when Apple closed all of its retail stores outside of Greater China.
According to 9to5Mac, every Apple Store location in the US has reopened.
The tech giant also confirmed that all 270 US Apple Store locations are now open in some capacity for either in-store shopping or online order pickup.
Outside of the US, just over a dozen Apple Stores remain closed in France and Brazil.
Apple Stores in Mexico were set to reopen on Tuesday, the report said on Monday.
