Auburn’s spring commencement exercises, scheduled for April 30-May 1, will once again take place in Jordan-Hare Stadium, contingent on current health and safety guidelines and weather.
In place of larger ceremonies that combine multiple colleges and schools, graduates will participate in individual college and school ceremonies in Jordan-Hare. The university will kick off its graduation weekend with a commencement address from Auburn alumnus Kenneth Kelly at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 30. Open to all graduates and families, the event will also recognize the spring marshals and include the formal conferral of degrees by the Board of Trustees. The commencement address will be immediately followed by the Graduate School ceremony, with guests seated in the stands to allow for physical distancing and access to Pat Dye Field limited to master’s and doctoral graduates and guests only.

Auburn athletics won 11 games and meets over the last week and also took home three gold medals from the SEC Indoor Track Championships.
That number was boosted by softball’s outstanding week, which featured five wins. The baseball team also contributed three, while the men’s and women’s tennis teams each added one. The No. 1 equestrian team remains undefeated to add another.
Among the sports that don’t just count wins and losses, gymnastics posted a season-high road score; the men’s swimming team saw a number of lifetime bests at the SEC Championship; and the track team won numerous medals.

The signage at Milwaukee’s convention center has changed plenty of times since the facility opened in 1998 to reflect a series of corporate sponsors and mergers, but since 2013 the building has operated without a sponsor.
With a $420 million expansion on tap, the Wisconsin Center District (WCD) sees an opportunity for revenue on the horizon. The state-controlled entity has retained Denver-based Impression Sports & Entertainment to sell the expanded building’s naming rights.

No. 16 Arkansas earned a tight win over Auburn in Auburn Arena on Thursday night, beating the Tigers 74-69 in the regular season road finale.
With the win, Arkansas has now won four straight, and seven of its last eight games dating back to January 28.
The win also guaranteed Arkansas a winning record in the SEC this season, marking the first time in program history the Hogs have had back-to-back winning conference seasons.
Sophomore guard Makayla Daniels played hero in this one, scoring nine of her 11 points in the fourth quarter, including a dagger three off the dribble to put Arkansas up four late. After not seeing the floor much in the early parts of the game due to foul trouble, Daniels exploded late in the fourth, converting a three-point play chance before hitting two threes to put the Hogs ahead for good.
