Dangerous: The Double Album spent its sixth consecutive week at Number One on the
Rolling StoneTop 200 Albums chart, earning 7,800 sales and more than 95 million streams. Wallen’s six-week run at Number One matched the
RS 200 record set last year by Taylor Swift’s
Folklore.
Dangerous fell steeply for the first time since
TMZreleased a video of Wallen using a racial slur. After the clip hit the internet,
Dangerous earned more than 137,000 album-equivalent units in each of the next two weeks. But on the latest chart, the singer’s weekly total fell to 86,900 units.

The re-recording has entered the Rolling Stone songs chart at No. 4, with 137,100 song units to its credit in its first week out. “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” accumulated 14.3 million streams during its initial frame.

Consumers are far from done with Morgan Wallen, even if he’s in temporary exile from radio and most other mass media. His “Dangerous: The Double Album” is No. 1 on the album chart, with no sign of being budged from that spot any time soon even if Wallen did issue a video apology this past week telling fans that he needs to take time off to get his life together. He may be going away for a while, but his music isn’t going anywhere.
