MUMBAI: Two years after a 39-year-old man was arrested for stabbing his wife in anger as she had eaten a portion of the curd she had brought home, a sessions court recently convicted and sentenced him to eight years’ imprisonment on the attempt-to-murder charge. The man had called the woman a “cat” which led to an argument.
Finding the accused, Antop Hill resident Sachin Malore, guilty, the court said, “The offence proved against the accused is serious in nature. While showing leniency to the accused, the sufferings of the victim cannot be ignored. The accused stabbed his own wife on petty grounds.”
