Yate Shopping Centre Yate Shopping Centre are welcoming back their young customers this half term with a fun competition across the site. Search the ‘Smiley Sunshines’ is the challenge for visitors to the centre from May 29 and a number of shops will be taking part. Smilies will be sited in participating shop windows and children need to find as many as they can hidden around the centre. Andrew Lowrey, Yate Shopping Centre Manager said: “We are looking forward to the full easing of lockdown restrictions, hopefully in late June, but for the meantime this competition will give centre visitors a challenge with a ray of sunshine!

Social distancing measure remain in place but cafes, restaurants and bars can now reopen to serve customers seated at tables indoors. Yate Shopping Centre THE manager of Yate Shopping Centre has welcomed the statement made by Prime Minister Boris Johnson that non-essential retail and outside hospitality sectors could begin to open on April 12. Speaking after the announcement centre manager Andrew Lowrey, said: “It is very encouraging and great news that there is a clear path to getting things back to normality, subject to favourable conditions moving forward. “The timetable laid out by the Prime Minister gives all businesses a clear programme to work to so that the shopping centre can hopefully be fully operational by early summer.” In the roadmap set out by Mr Johnson non-essential retail could begin to open on April 12.
SoBrows by Sofia will open in Yate Shopping Centre soon A beauty salon due to open in Yate has been selected as the new Bristol HD training academy and will start operating as soon as current lockdown restrictions for non-essential businesses are lifted. SoBrows by Sofia in North Walk, Yate Shopping Centre was due to open on February, 14 but due to the current situation has been delayed. Sofia Galloppa, owner of SoBrows by Sofia said: “It’s been all hands to the deck for the past few weeks getting both the salon and training centre fully fitted out. Now its fingers crossed that we can open soon so that we can start trading and using the new training centre.
