Billy Wayne Montgomery SEYMOUR Mr. Billy Wayne Montgomery, 87, of Seymour, passed away with his family by his side, on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020, at the Covered Bridge Health Care Campus. Billy was born in Seymour the son of the late Ray and Hazel (Arthur) Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Spray) Montgomery, children, Douglas (Carol) Montgomery and Beth Ann Montgomery, 3 wonderful grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan) Loudermilk, Andrew Montgomery, and Will (Samantha) Montgomery, great granddaughter, Laney Loudermilk. His niece, Kay Whitehorn and nephew, Timmy, sister-in-law, Patty Buster, brothers-in-law, Ronnie (Ruth) Spray and Steve (Michelle) Spray as well as numerous cousins.

Vaccine and borders A number of recent letters make an optimistic link between the coming Covid vaccines and possible relaxation of border quarantine restrictions.
The efficacy of the vaccination against symptomatic disease is good but, unfortunately, the available published data from the large efficacy trials show that vaccination does not prevent the acquisition and asymptomatic carriage of this virus.
It may somewhat reduce the chances of asymptomatic infection (this is not yet established) but being vaccinated will not mean that an apparently healthy person can avoid quarantine as they could still be a superspreader.

Two Bossier City, LA, teenagers were killed Wednesday in the crash of a single-engine aircraft on the East Reservation of Barksdale Air Force Base.
Jet Andrew Montgomery, 18, and Jonathan Cole Harris, 19, died in the crash. Both young men were recent graduates of Airline High School. Montgomery was a freshman at Louisiana Tech and, according to the FAA pilot database, was a student pilot. Harris was not listed in the pilot database.
At approximately 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, local air traffic controllers lost radar contact with the aircraft over the east side reservation of Barksdale. The installation was notified by the Federal Aviation Administration at 5 a.m., and first responders were dispatched for a search with intent to rescue operation.
