LAKEVIEW HEIGHTS The Lakeview Waterfront Park known locally as Moulinette Beach will be closed off to the public from May 20 to Sept. 7 or until current pandemic restrictions on outdoor gatherings are relaxed.
South Stormont council begrudgingly agreed to the closure after learning it would cost taxpayers an estimated $107,310 to operate it for the season, which lasts 108 days. Operating the park would have cost the township nearly $1,000 a day.
