The Serpent on Netflix: Where is Charles Sobhraj Now?

The Serpent has become a Netflix hit, a few months after it debuted on the BBC. In the drama, we see Charles Sobhraj (played by Tahar Rahim) on a crime spree that spanned many years, many countries, and numerous spells in prison (including a prison escape that allowed him to escape the death penalty in another country). The drama ends, however, with his final arrest in 2003, when for reasons unknown he returned to the one country where there was a warrant out for his arrest.

Handsome, charming, and fluent in several languages, Charles Sobhraj was like some bizarre real-life combination of Patricia Highsmith s Tom Ripley and Thomas Harris Hannibal Lecter .
His isn t a name that many would recognise yet the suave Vietnamese-Indian Frenchman was once one of Asia s most wanted criminals, the charismatic con artist and so-called Bikini Killer who lured at least a dozen young backpackers to their deaths in the 1970s.

Chicago s Paper Thin Pizza is making the many-pointed star-shaped leaves of the hemp plant the star of its pizzas for a special seating on March 6. The pizzeria, which is inside Fox Bar in Soho House Chicago, said in a news release that it will use hemp greens as a basil replacement on the pies.
Paper Thin Pizza s Andrew Anthony believes the hemp leaf or as the product is better known hemp greens will help draw customers to the restaurant. He also said the opening at 6 p.m., March 6 will be a limited-run, first-come first-serve event with approximately 35 seats available for indoor dining. The hemp microgreens are available as a topping by request.
