The public toilets at the pavilion in Eaton Park reopened on Wednesday after being shut for a week as a result of vandalism. A spokeswoman for Norwich City Council said: We condemn thoughtless acts of vandalism like this, which can have such far-reaching effects including to those who rely on accessible facilities. We urge anyone to report any vandalism or antisocial behaviour to us, or to the police if necessary, so we can take any necessary action.”

The historic Mason County marching band that is known for wearing colorful outfits to parades and festivals around Michigan didn’t perform once last year because of the pandemic. “We rely on those performances to cover our expenses and also to support youth performing artists,” band president Jim Lindenau said in a prepared statement. The band, consisting of dozens of musicians, typically performs at several events in West Michigan each year. The band’s members are hoping to get back to putting smiles on people’s faces once again this year.

The community foundation is in its fourth year of hosting the wish lists, which invite area nonprofits to ask for financial help from the community for near-term projects and purchases. These wish list ideas span the county geographically and across interest areas, including education, recreation, environment, arts, community development, health and human services and more. The Community Wish Lists are organized into three funding levels: less than $500; $500-$1500; and $1500-plus.
