Terlaje, who will be receiving his bachelor s degree in business administration, is one of the 386 students who will graduate from the University of Guam Sunday.
This is the first in-person graduation held by the university since 2019. Terlaje and his classmates have attended online classes for more than a year, an accomplishment that wouldn t have been possible when Terlaje first started at UOG.
His education was disrupted by family tragedies and personal hardships. I had always wanted to fulfill one of the gaps in the circle of my life, and although I did not accomplish it before my father, mother and my mother-in-law passed away, I just knew that I had to do it as they would be very proud, he said. I want to make sure that my nieces, nephews, and godchildren learn what perseverance is, and they look towards success in everything that they do.
