DUKE broke slowly but mended to straighten second in the sharp sprint, circled TREVOR S CHOICE on the home turn, before going after PATRIARCH.
Surging on the outside inside the last half-furlong to collar PATRIARCH, who slowed after setting splits of 22.4 and 45.3, DUKE clocked 1:05.4 for the trip.
