ST. CLAIRSVILLE The city and its police department delivered Valentine’s Day wishes to local businesses and individuals who might be alone or suffering hardship during the holiday.
Officer Greg Clark and Ann Marie McConaghy of St. Clairsville, the mayor’s niece, visited elderly residents in apartment buildings and young people at the Fox Run Center for Children and Adolescents. McConaghy wore a pair of Cupid wings for the occasion.
“Gave them cupcakes and a small bag of candy,” Clark said. “Telling businesses they’re appreciated.”
They also visited senior residences such as the Forest Hills Care Center. They were unable to go inside and greet the residents personally because of the pandemic, but they drove past the windows wishing them a happy Valentine’s Day.
