Neponset holds tractor, truck show

The Neponset American Legion #875 hosted the 1st Annual Truck and Tractor show on Saturday, June 26.
The event, the inspiration of Rodney Bennett, Post adjutant and district vice commander, saw 30 trucks and tractors line Neponset main street in front of the Historical Society Building.
The oldest truck was a 1925 Ford Model T, restored by the Wethersfield FFA. The oldest tractor was a 1935 John Deere B owned by Raymond Robinson. By far, the oldest exhibit was an 1893 Howe Pumper Wagon restored by George Burnett for the Historical Group. It has been in Neponset for 128 years.
