MONTAGUE Montague’s annual “Mug Race” will honor two figures significant to both the road race and the town on Saturday.Beginning in 1981 as the “Old Home Days Road Race,” the 40th annual Mug Race honors Al Ross and David Kaynor, whose recent deaths.
The recent of passing of Dave Kaynor certainly left a huge hole in the world of fiddle music. We are so fortunate that he settled in Montague Center. Dave embraced village life, becoming a member of the Grange, serving as Master and forming bonds with.

Feb 14: Love is the Spirit
Rev. Alison Cornish will lead two Franklin County Unitarian Universalist congregations in a collaborative online service at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14. The Rev. Cornish describes the service this way, “On this day, Feb. 14, when love is celebrated around the world, what does ‘Love is the spirit of this church’ mean? How does love both bind us together, and also fuel our commitment to dwell together in peace?”
