The building is in a rural location with a stream in front of it. As usual it s from the Andy Hutchings collection and is a place many readers will be familiar with. This public building is in a Dorset village and had a cottage opposite it called Myrtle Cottage, which had a model in its garden which became an attraction in its own right! The cottage had a model of the Dorset coastline - the work of Mr Donald Harbour. He built it round the edge of his lily pond and it was an impression of the coastline from Portland Bill to Swanage, featuring the many little bays and coves and white cliffs.

This time around the picture was used on a postcard upon which the writer commented: This is where you land on the bus from Weymouth. You can see a traction engine in the image, its trailer loaded with stone, on the way to FJ Barnes sawmills. The vehicle was later owned by Richard Townsend s Amusements of Chickerell and rebuilt by Eddisons of Dorchester as a showman s engine Queen Mary and has been preserved.
