did Andy Dufresne) The movie was about Andy Dufresne, narrated third person by  Red. Andy doesn’t narrate the movie because he is dead. Is Allen Greene from the movie The Shawshank Redemption a real person? Allen Greene was a real person. I was in high school with him. He graduated from North Greene High School in White Hall, IL in 1971. The name of the school district and the county in which it is located are named after the Greene family from which he descended. I was a few years behind him in school but I remember in those days, he owned a movie camera and he and his friends were “making movies” even then. He was very interested in working in the film industry. Allen Greene was a former agent and close personal friend of Frank Darabont (the movie director).

It turned out he thought I was someone else, someone almost a foot shorter than I and also not bald, but why get bogged down in details? We had a nice, albeit strange, chat; he provided intimate details details I neither asked for nor wanted to know about how he did not feel his age. Anyway, it was entertaining, and these surprising, random and overwhelmingly positive moments are regular experiences on Taipei’s hiking trails.

Yet, Gwyneth Paltrow wants you to know that she also felt the pain, and her low point came when she ate bread. Oh yeah, she’s just like the rest of us. This is cringeworthy. If it’s a joke, it’s awful. Hordes more people have had it much worse (via Fox News):
