Investigators Recover Large Amount Of Copper Stolen From Muskogee Business Investigators from several counties have recovered a large amount of stolen copper taken from a Muskogee scrap yard. News On 6 showed surveillance video Monday of three men stealing a whole semi-trailer full of copper from Wheeler Metals. Investigators said thanks to the story, they got several tips about the suspects and the location of the copper. Muskogee and Mayes County deputies found and recovered most of the copper Tuesday night, which was hidden in a ravine near Salina. “We received several tips a lot of it through Facebook social media sites. Investigators were able to take that and came out with a success,” Muskogee County Sheriff Andy Simmons said.
