MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WDLB) â On a night when Marshfield aldermen were choosing members of a new Ethics Board, they also denied a request from Mayor Bob McManus to investigate the actions of the cityâs Police-and-Fire Commission.
The Common Council voted 8-to-2 last night against the Mayorâs request to authorize City Attorney Harold Wolfgram to look into the protocol and actions of members of the Commission from January 1st of last year to February 5th of this year.
McManus explained to the Council why he was requesting an investigation of the Commission. âThree separate incidents taking place regarding potential open meeting violations regarding email exchanges, information exchanges, between the Commissioner and the Police Chief between the time of 4/21/2020 and 4/24/2020 just before an open records request.â

After Adelaide broke the deadlock in the first half, the Glory turned in a strong second-half performance, netting the winner in the 83rd minute when substitute Daniel Stynes shot took a deflection which wrong-footed goalkeeper James Delianov.
Perth coach Richie Garcia praised his side s determination to respond to their first half setback. I definitely think in the second half we got to grips with what we were doing, he said. The character and the willingness to get in front and get back in the game was notable from our players.
Perth looked the livelier of the two sides in the opening quarter hour with Andy Keogh, Bruno Fornaroli and Diego Castro finding plenty of the ball and space and causing the Reds defence concern.

Goodwin s loan deal with Saudi Premier League club Abha has come to an end, with early reports suggesting he will now return to parent club Al-Wehda.

MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WDLB) Â City leaders in Marshfield have voted to move forward with proceedings that could end with the removal of Mayor Bob McManus from office.
WDLB Radio in Marshfield reports that the investigation stems from an open-records request relating to text messages that were allegedly sent by McManus from a city-issued cell phone.
According to McManus, an investigation into the matter was opened by the Portage County Sheriff’s office last fall. The results were turned over to the Wood County District Attorney before the end of 2020, and the matter was closed without any formal charges.

Perth Glory coach Richard Garcia is ‘pretty confident’ captain Diego Castro will have a vital role to play against Melbourne City on Sunday.
The 38-year-old is yet to feature in the A-League this season but Garcia revealed the Spanish maestro will return for the clash at AAMI Park, kick-off 6.40pm AEDT.
Glory have still managed to rattle in 10 goals without Castro, while also conceding 10 in their three matches, and Garcia wants to gradually build up his skipper’s fitness.
That means Castro is not set to play 90 minutes against the Victorian side – but with forwards Andy Keogh and Nick D’Agostino carrying knocks from training, Garcia did not rule out naming his captain from the start.
