As principal partners of Netball Australia since 2017, Suncorp has launched ‘The Drive’ a heartfelt story that exemplifies the brand’s exceptional commitment to the game and more broadly, women’s sports, created by Leo Burnett.
Suncorp’s commitment over the past five years is unique within the world of sports, in that it extends right the way through – from the grass roots’ entry program, Suncorp Net-Set-Go, to the professional league, Suncorp Super Netball, and the pinnacle of the sport itself, the Australian Diamonds.
This partnership extends off the court as well, encompassing its Team Girls program, an initiative designed to build girls’ confidence and resilience in life, by encouraging them to stay in sports, precisely at a time when many drop out.

Suncorp, an insurance company, along with Leo Burnett and The Glue Society have launched a project ‘One House to Save Many’. The aim of this project is to create better housing that is designed to withstand and survive catastrophic weather conditions.
Natural disasters are spreading across Australia. Floods, bushfires and storms are increasing in intensity. To battle this, Suncorp set out a goal to reduce the impact of extreme weather and help in creating a more resilient Australia.
The intent is to help reduce the displacement and disruption of life for Australians living in areas where these events are more intense and frequent, and to actually help change the way houses are built in the future.

In response to the increasing intensity of natural disasters in Australia, Suncorp has worked with housing resilience experts at James Cook University, the CSIRO and Room 11 Architects to design and test a prototype home that is fire, flood and cyclone-resistant.
Leo Burnett and the Glue Society were the creative forces driving the initiative, with an online experience and integrated campaign exploring the impact each of the building innovations can have on protecting homes.
The story was shared as a documentary on Channel Nine with earned media as support.
