Pressure: a stressful condition that many of us feel from time to time.
Pressure can cause us to be discouraged, frustrated or angry, which can lead to harm in our work and in our relationships with family and friends. It can cause lack of self-confidence, resulting in mistakes, and from which we may feel regret.
I, too, have experienced a “mountain” of work before me and have yielded to quickly “digging in” because of frustration in needing to get it done. And, at times like these, we may speak impatiently to someone with us or we may make mistakes in our work.
The planter of Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, has commiserated with the Family of Pastor and Mrs. Enoch Adejare and Funmilayo Adeboye as well as the entire church of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on the passing of their son, Pastor Dare Adeboye who died in his sleep on May 5, 2021.
While urging the Adeboyes and the RCCG family to repose their confidence in the Lord and be comforted in Him and His abundant mercy, Prophet Alo said only the Almighty who is the author of destinies has designed what He deems fit for everyone.
He said: “The Lord Almighty reminds us in Psalm 9:9 that He is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. We pray that the Lord Almighty shall continue to remain our Baba and Mama Adeboye’s refuge, their stronghold in times of trials such as this.
Mr. President,
Allow me to address you at this hour in which the fate of the whole world is being threatened by a global conspiracy against God and humanity. I write to you as an Archbishop, as a Successor of the Apostles, as the former Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America. I am writing to you in the midst of the silence of both civil and religious authorities. May you accept these words of mine as the voice of one crying out in the desert (Jn 1:23).
As I said when I wrote my letter to you in June, this historical moment sees the forces of Evil aligned in a battle without quarter against the forces of Good; forces of Evil that appear powerful and organized as they oppose the children of Light, who are disoriented and disorganized, abandoned by their temporal and spiritual leaders.

The Holy Redeemer Anglican Church at Agona Kwanyako has honoured the Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East in the Central Region, Mrs Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, for her outstanding service and contribution to the growth and development of the area since assuming office in 2012.
Mrs Sawyerr, a member of the church, was honoured by the church during a special thanksgiving service held in her honour last Sunday, after securing a third term victory in the December 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections in the constituency.
