BORDENTOWN CITY The old Ocean Spray facility at 104 Park Street has another new owner, delaying a redevelopment plan that has been in the works for years, according to city Commissioner Jim Lynch.
Ocean Spray left the 60-acre property and 480,000-square-foot facility in 2014. Hamilton-based developer Daniel Popkin bought it for more than $10 million and worked with the city on a redevelopment plan.
That plan called for 296 apartments and 60,000 square feet of commercial space, to perhaps include a brewery and yoga studio, according to Lynch. But after years of inaction on the project, Popkin sold the property in January to Brooklyn-based developer Charles Sobel.
