Havana, May 31 (Prensa Latina) Representatives from Cuba and Norway on Monday reaffirmed their interest in boosting bilateral relations in a virtual meeting between deputy foreign ministers. Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodriguez and the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Jens Frolich Holte, stressed in official talks the importance of fostering political and economic ties.
According to a press release from the Cuban Foreign Ministry, both representatives highlighted the positive ties in the cultural area and the cooperation projects for mutual benefit and for the sake of other States.

Havana, May 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuba and Egypt ratified the positive state of relations and the willingness to strengthen economic and commercial ties, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez informed on Thursday.
On his Twitter account, the minister added that he received Egyptian Ambassador Mohamed Hisham Gamal Eldien Shuair, who will end his mission in Cuba.
Both countries established diplomatic relations on Sept.5, 1949, but several sources indicate that they were strengthened after Ernesto Che Guevara s visit to Cairo in 1959.
On previous occasions, Anayansi Rodriguez, deputy foreign minister, said that during decades of bilateral ties, there have been important achievements in terms of political agreements and exchanges in areas of mutual interest such as the economy, trade, education and culture.

The president recalled on his Twitter account the 35 years that have elapsed since the catastrophe in the Ukrainian city of Pripyat, on April 26, 1986, and how Cuba made made the pain of that people its own and offered treatments and cures to thousands of children.
Over 21,000 children with illnesses caused by radiation exposure were treated in Cuba between 1989 and 2011, thanks to a program that also strengthened the ties of friendship between Cuba and Ukraine.
