ADAMS â Another festival that fell to COVID-19 in 2020 is set to return this year: the 11th annual Cheddar Cheese Festival in Adams.
Presented by the Adams Revitalization Committee, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 10 in downtown Adams. Opening ceremonies will take place at the Village Green.
Artisans will be located on the Village Green, Main Street, East Church Street and Sixtown. There will be jewelry, pottery, glass items, clothing, antiques, candles, soaps, quilts and more available for purchase. An information booth will be located near the Adams library. This will be a pet-free event.
ADAMS â The glorious sounds of live music will once again echo throughout this village this summer after a yearâs pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Adams Revitalization Committee will host its sixth Community Concert Series featuring free concerts on six consecutive Wednesday nights, beginning July 14 and continuing through Aug. 18.
Each performance is at the firefighters pavilion behind the Adams Fire Hall. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude around 8 p.m.
Patrons are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. In the event of stormy weather, concerts will be held at the Six Town Meeting Hall on East Church Street, Adams.

ADAMS, N.Y. (WWNY) - Adams is back in the swing of fundraising for a new playground, something the village has been without for decades.
If you talk to someone who grew up in the village of Adams, they might tell you about an old playground on Institute Street.
“It used to have slides and teeter-totters and it had big spider in the middle of it,” village trustee Kreg Davis said. “I mean, it was what we grew up with.”
