It s not only brought excitement to the city, but it could provide opportunities to locals.Communications Director Mark Jones said this may not be the last time Mississippians see the city of Clinton make an appearance on television. Conversations have started with other production companies to also consider Clinton for their films. According to Jones, these projects are not just opening doors for Clinton but also for Central Mississippi. With the sheer number of films that they re showing us the scripts for, and saying we re interested in Clinton, you can really see the movie business in Central Mississippi take off,” Jones said.Jones said he welcomes everyone to visit local spots in Olde Town because it just may have been a movie scene. Lifetime Productions is looking for extras in an upcoming movie that is being filmed in Clinton called Teacher s Watching. According to clintonms.org, the movie is about a woman, Izzy Fletcher, as she struggles with balancing her inner demons and fending off a foe that threatens her family s very survival. In the movie, Izzy will be relocating to Clinton, MS for a high-tech job.The film will be taking advantage of Clinton s stunning areas such as Olde Towne Clinton, Town Spring park, Lion s Club Park and several other areas around the city. The production team is looking for 20 children to play school kids and 20 adults to play parents on Sunday, January 31.Participants should bring 2-3 warm weather clothing options (no logos or wild prints) due to the scenes reflecting a warmer part of the year. It is recommended that those who want to take part bring a jacket for when not on camera. The day is anticipated to last 6-10 hours. Any participants will be provided snacks and drink
