COMPANY HANDOUT REAL ESTATE investment trusts (REITs) may be âat the forefront of the [real estate] industryâs transformationâ as the pandemic shifts market demand, according to Asia Pacific Real Estate Associationâs (APREA) market outlook 2021 report. âBetter buildings will, no doubt, form the core of the post-pandemic city. Asset owners and landlords will need to be proactive with measures to entice shoppers and office workers back into their multimillion-dollar investments,â APREA said in its report. Global funds, realtors seek Input Tax Credit for leasing activities

Under the earlier service tax regime, a developer, constructing premises used for leasing, was not restricted from availing CENVAT credit (input tax credit) on service tax paid on services other than works contract services.
