According to Asia Time, the vehicle will be badged a “GV60” by the time it enters production in August, and prototypes have already been spotted testing. The GV60 will ride on Hyundai Motor Group’s new E-GMP platform, developed specifically for electric vehicles. The platform runs on an 800-volt electrical system, and should deliver a battery range of around 300 miles (482 km). It should take just 18 minutes to charge the vehicle up to 80 per cent if running at a 350-kilowatt charging rate, which the E-GMP should support. This platform will also underpin the Hyundai Ioniq 5 SUV, as well as a Kia-branded SUV.
