The collaboration is expected to act as a catalyst in meeting funding requirements of this untapped segment of the society in order to help them in sustainable growth. These Home Chefs make up a valuable part of our SME segment and BoP feels proud in stepping into this horizon which supports diversity and financial inclusion.

The Bank of Punjab (BOP) and Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance (AIM), have signed an agreement for promoting Low-Cost Housing under Government’s Markup Subsidy Scheme (G-MSS).
The ceremony was held at The Bank of Punjab’s Head Office in Gulberg, Lahore.
Zafar Masud – President& CEO BOP and Asif Riaz – Group Head Retail and Priority Sectors Lending represented BOP, while Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance (AIM), was represented by Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib – Executive Director, Dr. Kamran Shams – Director and Shahzad Akram – Chief Credit Officer.
Zafar Masud opined, this is a revolutionary step in the Housing Industry and such arrangements shall help us extend support at grass root level. The Bank of Punjab and Millat Tractors Limited- MTL have signed an MOU for provision of Fast Track Processing and Delivery of Tractors and Farm Machinery to qualifying applicants at subsidized markup rate under Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan – Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (PMKJ YES).

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court on Friday issued notices to the Central government and Serum Institute of India on a plea to declare the Covishield vaccine unsafe. The petitioner said he volunteered for the vaccine trial and had side effects after taking the jab.
According to the petitioner, Asif Riaz, of Anna Nagar, there was no adverse reaction in the first 10 days, but he woke up on October 11 with a severe headache. “I am still not stable and often experience trembling of hands, fear, anxiety, trepidation, panic, mood swings and problems focusing,” he said.
