10-year-old Arroyo Grande girl receives birthday cards from people around the world

While many celebrations are postponed or canceled during the COVID-19 pandemic, an Arroyo Grande mother is finding ways to make her daughter s birthday extra special.
After her daughter Erica Flores received a birthday card from one of her teachers in the mail, Angie Miranda says she felt inspired to take action.
Miranda asked people on social media to send cards for Erica s 10th birthday on Sunday.
So far, Erica says she has received more than 60 birthday messages in the mail from people in New York, Florida, New Jersey, Wisconsin and even Canada and Nigeria.
