Police are appealing to the public for information to help find a man who they say was involved in an early-morning Christchurch assault.
Detective Senior Sergeant Nicola Reeves said a man punched another man in an unprovoked attack on Sunday, causing the victim to fall to the ground and hit his head on the pavement.

Security bollards will be installed near Christchurch s busiest bar and restaurant areas, but are they necessary?
The Christchurch City Council signalled its intention to install the bollards in September last year and is now seeking public feedback on the bollards and plan to turn City Mall into a shared zone.
The authority said bollards will be installed to limit access to a high use public area on Oxford Terrace and will be placed on the south side of the Hereford St intersection in mid- 2021.

Sue Hill called her local hospital more than 50 times before she eventually got through to their Covid vaccination appointment booking service. She heard Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital was giving the vaccine to people over-70 who lived in south London if they called the dedicated number.
