Man suspected of robbery and sexual assault killed after producing firearm during chase.

Two Ogden police officers on Friday night shot and killed a man suspected of robbery and sexual assault, after they chased him through city streets and he “produced a firearm,” according to a news release from Ogden Police Chief Eric Young.

OGDEN, Utah â Ogden Police hope someone can help them locate a teenage boy who disappeared on January 12.
Santiago Guillen Jr., 17, was last seen in the area of Adams Ave.
Police described Santiago as Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 200 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue shorts. Santiago wears braces and has a scar on his right wrist.
Anyone with information on Santiago s whereabouts is urged to call Ogden PD at 801-629-8228.

Ogden Police recover ambulance stolen overnight

Authorities have recovered an ambulance that was stolen early Sunday morning in Ogden.
The emergency vehicle was stolen from the area of 3rd Street and Washington Boulevard around 2:50 a.m., the city said in a statement.
An Ogden Fire Department crew was responding to a medical emergency in the area. When they exited the building to transport the patient to the hospital, the ambulance was gone.

Taylorsville, Ogden welcome new police chiefs

OGDEN Two Utah cities will start the new year with new leadership in their police departments.
Both Ogden and Taylorsville introduced new police chiefs on Tuesday.
In Ogden, city officials chose a native son in Eric Young to replace retiring Chief Randy Watt.
“I am honored and humbled to be selected by Mayor Mike Caldwell to serve as the next police chief for the city,” Young said at a press conference Tuesday. “I spent my entire life interwoven in the fabric of Ogden.
