NBL cannot give loans without reducing ADR: BB The New Nation Business Desk : The National Bank will not be able to issue new loans if the Advance Deposit Ratio (ADR) of the bank is not reduced to the level set by the central bank. Bangladesh Bank announced the ban in a letter sent to the managing director of the National Bank on 3 May. The central bank has also fixed large loans and single customer loan limits for the National Bank. Besides, the approval of the central bank has been made compulsory in appointing senior officials in the bank. The BB also wanted to know the loan collection situation of the top customers of the bank.

Limited banking hours until 5 May Sun Online Desk 28th April, 2021 07:38:18 Limited banking hours from 10am to 1pm have been extended until 5 May, as have the ongoing movement restrictions. The central bank s Department of Off-Site Supervision (DOS) issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday. The circular said that in light of the Cabinet Division notification on 28 April, limited banking services have been extended.During the movement curbs, non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) will remain open from 10am to 2pm. Banking operations on a limited scale have been on since 14 April, except for weekends and public holidays. Bankers can stay in the office until 2.30pm for back office work.

Banks limited operation time extended to April 28 Staff Correspondent 20th April, 2021 06:24:25 Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Tuesday extended limited scale banking operation hours to April 28 after the government issued a notification by extending the lockdown. According to the BB, banks will remain open from 10 am to 1pm except weekly holidays and government holidays to ensure banking service for the people. Earlier, on April 13, the BB issued a notification to operate banks on limited scale from April14 to April21. The BB notification signed by General Manager of Department of Off-Site Supervision Md. Anuwarul Islam, said banks will operate banking service from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm for clients while banks operate till 2.30 pm to complete post-transaction ancillary activities.
