The Crown and the defence agree an encounter took place but not about who is telling the truth in the sexual assault trial of suspended WRPS Sgt. Caleb Roy.
Closing submissions were heard via Zoom Tuesday before Ontario Superior Court Justice Katherine Corrick.
Waterloo Regional Police Sgt. Caleb Roy was charged with sexual assault after a woman said she accompanied Roy in October 2010 to what she thought would be a night out in Toronto. But instead she alleged Roy took her to his friend s condominium where Roy pulled her into the bedroom where he allegedly raped her.
