Air Liquide supports the development of a liquid hydrogen plant in South Korea

Air Liquide Engineering & Construction has signed an agreement with Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction (Seoul, South Korea) to support the construction of a liquid hydrogen plant in Changwon, South Korea as an enabler of clean transport development in the country.
As part of the agreement, Air Liquide will provide the engineering and procurement of the Hydrogen Liquefier, bringing its extensive experience in the design, engineering and operation of ultra low temperature liquefaction plants.
The plant will be built within the grounds of Doosan’s site in Changwon and will be able to produce 5 tons of liquid hydrogen per day to service hydrogen charging stations nationwide once in operation. The first industrial hydrogen production is envisaged in early 2023.
