Hiker Airlifted After Falling Off Trail Near Rowher Flats A hiker was airlifted to an area hospital Tuesday after falling approximately 30 feet off a trail near Rowher Flats. Around 10:35 a.m. first responders received reports of an injured hiker near Rowher Flats off of Vasquez Truck Trail just north of Santa Clarita, said Jon Matheny, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “We had one 40-year-old male who took a fall … with significant injuries,” Matheny said. The hiker did briefly lose consciousness after falling approximately 30 feet, according to Fire officials. Due to the location being in a rural area, a helicopter responded and was there within five minutes, according to Matheny.
