An Asian trekker in his 30s had been rescued in Ras Al Khaimah after falling off a mountain in Daya Valley, the police said on Monday.
Group Commander Saeed Al Yamahi, head of the Air Wing Section of the RAK Police, said the man was airlifted to Saqr hospital after suffering injuries from his trek.
Local mountaineers had been a big help in the rescue mission, Al Yamahi said. “They had provided some medical help to the injured trekker and comforted him before the paramedics and rescue teams reached the site.”

A 50-year-old Emirati was walking on a rocky mountain in Ras Al Khaimah when he slipped and fell off a cliff, the authorities said on Wednesday. The Air Wing team of the Ras Al Khaimah Police immediately came to his rescue and took him to a hospital. He sustained serious injuries and fractures.
Group Commander Saeed Al Yamahi, head of the Air Wing Section, said the incident happened a few days ago. As soon as they received the report, the search and rescue team was dispatched to the site. “The entire area was searched until the injured man was found, provided with first aid, and then moved to Saqr hospital.”

A man in his fifties was rescued by Ras Al Khaimah Police’s Air wing, after he fell from high cliff near Jebel Al Mebrah in RAK.
Colonel Pilot Saeed Al Yamahi, Head of the Air Wing Division, revealed that operations had received a call about a senior citizen who slipped and fell from a high altitude.
After receiving the information rescue teams rushed to save the injured man.
Fortunately, the citizen sustained minor injuries and some bruises, and he was provided medical help from the Air Wing rescue teams until he was transported to Saqr Hospital.

Rescued European trekkers receive treatment at a hospital in Ras Al Khaimah.
The Air Wing Section of the Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Police recently managed to rescue two European tourists, who were injured while trekking the Sheha mountains in the northern emirate.
Group Commander Saeed Al Yamahi, who heads the Air Wing Section of the RAK Police, said on Monday morning that they had dispatched a chopper with a rescue team onboard to the Sheha mountains.
“The crew members managed to locate the two injured tourists and provide them with first aids.”
