Pune: Constant caution and care is being practiced in the city to beat Covid. Rajesh Tope, Maharashtra health minister yesterday said that lockdown was not the solution to curb increasing Covid cases.
The government will consider raising fines for violation of social gathering guidelines, but local authorities should ensure that stringent action was taken against violators, according to Tope. At present, people venturing out without masks are being levied a penalty of Rs 500.
