A college in Barrow has announced the winners of a competition in which children were asked to design a poster on the theme what makes learning great? The competition, which was held by Furness College and was open to year 6 pupils throughout the area, attracted more than 30 entries. The winners have been announced as Jaiden Udgebe, of Dalton St Mary’s, and Ashleigh Hazlett, of South Walney Junior Scool. Furness College principal and chief executive Andrew Wren said: One of the winners showed the sky was no limit by saying learning can help you understand space and how it helps set you up for a future with a good job and a good house.
