TRIBUTES have been paid to a Basingstoke construction worker who died suddenly. Scott Grimes, 30, was found unresponsive at work in Wiltshire Crescent on Monday. He was taken to hospital but later died. A spokesman for Hampshire Police said an investigation had been launched with the Health and Safety Executive notified. In tribute to the father-of-one, his brother Ian Grimes, said: “My brother and my best mate, words cannot describe how much you mean to me. I just want everyone to know how much of a kind man you were.” His partner Ashleigh McCaul, and mother to their son Finley, said their world had been taken too soon, writing: “We will miss you so much. until we meet again, love you always and forever.”
