Feds: Bridgeport resident sentenced in connection with 2017 robberies

A Bridgeport resident has been sentenced to over 21 years in prison in connection to several violent armed robberies, federal prosecutors say.
Judge Kari Dooley sentenced 37-year-old Eric Chambers Tuesday, according to a U.S. Attorney’s office.
A relative of Chambers his half-brother, Jachim Brown wore a mask and went into Nikita’s Bar in Bridgeport on Sept. 27, 2017 “and pointed a gun” at an employee working there, officials said.
“Brown directed the employee to a location behind the bar to retrieve a key to a safe,” officials said in a news release. “After the employee complied, Brown opened the safe and stole approximately $2,450.”

Rap battles in the halls of Everett High School led Chadwick Niles Phillips life to come full circle.
Becoming a rapper was not always Phillips dream.
As a student at Everett High School in the early 2000s, he was invested in sports, running track and playing on the high school s basketball and football teams. Inspiration from watching his older brother Sebastian paint kept his interest in visual arts.
It was not until he heard songs by a group including
