Southwestern Ontario school boards will get more than $31 million in “immediate assistance” from the federal and provincial governments to make schools safer during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The money is part of a $656.5-million provincewide program announced Wednesday by federal Infrastructure Minister Catherine McKenna and Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce, whose government is contributing $131.3 million to the effort.
