The President of the Republic, His Excellency Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE, accompanied by the First Lady, Her Excellency Angeline NDAYISHIMIYE enhanced the ceremonies of exchanging New Year’s greetings with the defense and security forces of Burundi.
These ceremonies took place in the compound of the twenty-second armored battalion which is located in Gitega, the political capital of Burundi. Other high officials of the country participated in those ceremonies namely the Vice-President of the Republic, the two ministers in charge of the defense and security sectors, the high commanders of the police and the army and many executives of these two institutions.

On Thursday, December 17, 2020, the President of the Republic , His Excellency Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE, launched the construction of a twelve-level building that will serve as the headquarters of the Burundi Revenue Authority (OBR). The latter covers an area of 30,000 m2 of Kigobe South, Ntahangwa commune in Bujumbura City. This project of 68 billion Burundi francs is part of the National Development Plan of 2021-2027 and will be fully funded by the government of Burundi.

The President of the Republic , His Excellency Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE continued his activities on Thursday, 17 December 2020, at Lake Tanganyika Club Hotel where he enhanced the ceremonies launching the third edition of the industrial fair organized by the Association of Industries of Burundi under the theme: “Industry is an essential factor of economic development”.
The Minister of Trade, Transport, Industry and Tourism, the General Secretary of the East African Community the Representative of Trade Mark East Africa and that of the Federal Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burundi, the senior officials of the Presidency of the Republic and members of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited in Burundi equally took part in those ceremonies.

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Evariste NDAYISHIMIYE enhanced the activities of a retreat on the implementation of the Agricultural Policy Document of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and the Environment, a retreat which was held this Tuesday, December 15 in Bugarama zone in the Commune and Province of Muramvya.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and the Environment who presented the document indicated that this policy aims to increase production so that each citizen has enough to eat in accordance with the principle of Responsible and Laborious Government while protecting the environment.
