Switzerland is one of my favorite countries, Breathtaking scenery, fantastic food, a well organized country where everything runs on time, outstanding service and lots to see and do. It used to be considered expensive, but today, the rest of Europe has caught up to it so prices are not a shock.
I went every winter for a skiing holiday, and every summer for a hiking adventure with my family so know the small country extremely well. We never rented a car, always used the train and bus to get around. We used Rail Europe to get to Switzerland, then Swiss Rail for travel within the country. The rail pass is a terrific savings if you are doing a lot of moving around.
Open to U.S. Travelers, Costa Rica Tourism and Avanti Launch Campaign of Custom Vacations

Avanti Destinations and Costa Rica Tourism have launched a joint campaign to help advisors inspire FIT clients to take a customized vacation in Costa Rica, now open to American travelers. The Central American country began welcoming U.S. tourists in November 2020.
The joint promotion consists of a new 62-page downloadable e-brochure, Experience Costa Rica, available on Avanti’s travel advisor portal, a microsite, and two themed webinars on April 8 and April 21, 2021.
Avanti Introduces Custom FIT and Group Travel to Egypt

Avanti Destinations, the tour operator which sells exclusively through travel advisors, has started offering custom FIT and group travel to Egypt, which is currently open to American tourists.
A new 52-page e-brochure “Essence of Egypt 2021-2022,” designed to be shared with clients, is available on the tour operator’s agent portal.
The e-brochure provides advice on travel times within Egypt, options for meeting visa requirements, and descriptions of the new products: five customizable vacations, six destinations, 19 hotels, and 38 experiences and activities, in addition to 11 different four- and five-star luxury ships for three- to 12-night Nile cruises on four routes.

Although river cruising remains largely shuttered around the world, Egypt and the Nile are open and welcoming travelers.
And while bigger international players like Viking, Avalon Waterways and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises have their global operations on hold through at least April, there are a variety of other Nile ships that can be booked for immediate travel alone or in conjunction with land packages.
Options include the exclusive, four-suite SB Feddya and a renovated British Navy steamer operated by Movenpick, medium-size boats from the Indian luxury hospitality company Oberoi and four-star options from Steigenberger.
