Roads in Watford, Croxley Green and Sarratt set to be temporarily closed

Motorists using several roads in the area are facing disruption to their journeys due to temporary closures for roadworks. A notice from Hertfordshire County Council in this week’s edition of the Watford Observer details the closures in roads in Watford, Croxley Green and Sarratt that have either been approved or are set to be granted. In all cases the orders last for 18 months, but the restrictions will only take effect at the times shown on signs on or near the affected roads. On order has been granted for a section of Bushey Mill Crescent, Watford, to be temporarily closed for water connection works.

A MAN who died after being punched outside a bar had a history of violence including attacking two people after a crash, a court heard. Paul Wallington, 25, died after the incident outside The Vine, High Street, Brentwood in the early hours of Christmas Day, 2018. Leslie Wiseman, 30, of Whitehouse Meadows, Leigh is charged with manslaughter but claims he acted in self defence when Mr Wallington suffered catastrophic injuries. During the trial at Basildon Crown Court yesterday defence barrister Peter Wilcock told the hearing Mr Wallington had been violent in previous incidents.
