Qatar Emiri Air Force delivers QRCS aid shipments to Sudan

Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has dispatched humanitarian aid shipments to Sudan.
Aboard aircraft of the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF), 62 tonnes of relief items were delivered under the Ethiopian Refugee Relief, Emergency Medical System Enhancement, and COVID-19 Control projects.
The shipments were received at the Khartoum International Airport by Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary-General of QRCS; Asaad Galal, delegate of Prof. Seddig Tawer, Member of the Sovereign Council; Talal Al Anzi, Acting Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Qatar in Khartoum; Staff Brigadier Abdullah Al Mannai, Military Attaché at the Embassy of Qatar in Khartoum; and Dr. Bah

School Graduation Guidance: The county council voted Tuesday to limit school graduation ceremonies to 50% of venue capacity for outdoor ceremonies, among other graduation guidance. Capacity is limited to 25% for indoor ceremonies or 250 people, whichever is fewer people.

At last weeks Cherokee County Board of Supervisors meeting, County Engineer Sarah Tracy explained an amendment to the current years DOT budget and requested approval from the Supervisors to reallocate funds. The Board approved an amendment to the FY21 DOT Budget transferring $1 million from roadway construction to roadway maintenance. Larry Walker, Roads Superintendent, presented quotes from John Deere and Caterpillar for a new motor grader and the Board approved the purchase of a 2021 John Deere 772 Motor Grader for $312,125 ($363,125 list price less $51,000 trade in allowance) from Murphy Tractor, Sioux City. Kenny Schlenger, Assistant Roads Superintendent, requested approval to purchase a used New Holland T7060 for use with the Countys road groomer, adding that the current International 4240 would be sold on Big Iron.
