Manhunt underway after handcuffed Pennsylvania suspect shoots police officer three times, flees KATE FELDMAN
A 22-year-old man taken into custody for a parole violation allegedly shot his arresting officer three times outside the police station then fled the scene, all while still handcuffed.
The manhunt continues Monday morning for Koby Lee Francis and the 32-year-old officer, who has not been publicly identified, remains hospitalized in stable condition, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Francis was arrested outside a McKeesport residence around 4 p.m. Sunday for violating a protection from abuse order issued barely an hour earlier. Officers confiscated a gun from his car, where he was found, but no other weapons were discovered when they searched him as part of the arrest.
