Gov Kemp loosens some restrictions in revised executive order

Kemp on March 12 signed Executive Order 03.12.21.01, outlining revised and continued guidance for Empowering a Healthy Georgia. The changes to the Executive Order are detailed below: • Combines the restaurant and bar requirements to hold both types of establishments to the same standards; and • Streamlines suggestions and requirements for Critical Infrastructure and Non-Critical Infrastructure organizations to remove unnecessary requirements based on existing standard operating procedures for organizations and the ineffectiveness of certain measures; and • Includes 2021 high school graduates, home study graduates, and GED recipients in previously ordered HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarship testing requirement modifications.

Safer-at-Home Order expires on January 22, 2021 at 5 p.m. Under the Safer-at-Home Order, businesses are no longer required to limit the number of customers inside of their establishments. Under the Order and effective November 8: Entertainment venues such as bowling alleys, arcades, concert venues, theaters, auditoriums, tourist attractions, racetracks and casinos may operate but are subject to social distancing, facial coverings and sanitation guidelines. (Entertainment venue does not include night clubs.) Athletic facilities such as fitness centers and commercial gyms, spas and yoga, barre and spin facilities may operate but are subject to social distancing, facial coverings and sanitation rules and guidelines.
